Castelrotto

Need I say more?

Our hotel was built in 1326, and is by far my favorite hotel I’ve ever stayed in through all of my travels, until this point. The hospitality was on another level and the breakfasts they put out each morning definitely helped get you read for a day full of adventuring through the mountains of Northern Italy. Alpe Di Siusi is the name of the high plains where I saw all of the horses and cows and beautiful majestic peaks!!!

My mom had the time of her life in Italy!!! My parents both used to sit and watch Rick Steves travel videos at home after he had his stroke and wasn’t able to be mobile as much. So to them, this was a trip of a lifetime. So it was both healing for my mom and I after he passed, but also we did it for him in a way. We made it to Europe dad!!!

The clock tower was right outside our hotel room window, and has been going off since 7:00am for the past 8 hundred years. It’s all part of the adventure, right? That’s what you tell yourself at 7am… Seriously though, this little town of Castelrotto is one of my favorite places on Earth! Definitely join the Rick Steve’s “My Way” tour through the Alps to experience this amazing place deep within the mountains…
